Do you take adult groups?

Yes, we do take groups of adults, though our focus will always be on children.

Can we do self-catering?

Yes, some of our cabins have self-catering facilities. Please Contact Us to discuss options.

Do we need to bring our own bedding?

We’ve got you covered! We provide duvet with duvet cover, bed sheets and pillows with pillowcases for each bed.

Do teachers come free?

We don’t offer free places to teachers but do offer one free place for every 30 who book. We do offer bursary places to children who would otherwise be unable to come and experience our Centre. See Funding Support for more information.

Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes, Barnstondale is fully insured with public and product liability insurance (Policy Number: CC005655).

What is the minimum age that can visit?

We haven’t set a minimum age for visitors, though obviously some very young children cannot take part in all activities. We don’t have sleeping facilities for the very youngest, so travel cots etc. would need to be brought with you.

Is Barnstondale secure?

You cannot just walk into our main site; it is fenced with gates operated by a keypad access only. All gates in and out are covered by 24/7 CCTV. Cabins and individual bedrooms can all be locked, and keys held by the group staff. We have also recently fenced a portion of our extensive woodland too to increase the security of our visitors when they are taking part in our outdoor activities.

Do you have internet access?

Yes, we have free Wi-Fi for our visitors at locations around the site.

Can we use the site and not take part in activities?

Yes, although there is a day rate cost to this. To find out more about our facilities visit our Facilities page.

Do you cater for allergies/specialist dietary requirements?

Yes. During the online booking process, you will be asked to list any special dietary requirements so our catering department can prepare for your trip. We welcome you speaking directly with our Catering Supervisor to discuss individual cases too.

Do you have a menu?

Yes. The menu will be sent to you, in your personalised Visit Plan, once your booking is confirmed. You can select your menu options via this plan and highlight any specific dietary needs for your group.
